From your initial enquiry to enjoying your cake

Step 1

As soon as you have booked your wedding venue, you can get in touch about your wedding cake. Please contact me via email or my online contact form with details of your wedding date, venue and number of guests. If you have images of cakes you like these are really helpful. I will then check my availability and give you an initial quote based on the basic information provided.

Step 2

If you would like to proceed following this quote, I will invite you to a zoom call to chat in more depth about your wedding details, any styling and colour schemes or ideas you would like to incorporate in your cake. Calls last around 20 - 30 minutes and following this l I will send you a completed order form, design sketches and final price. In order to save your date I will require a £100 non-refundable booking fee (or 50% of the final balance within 6 months of the wedding). There is no obligation to buy after the call.

Step 3

I will send you a batch of samples to try, these can be posted throughout the UK or can be collected if you are local. Each box contains 6 - 8 samples and are sent out on a bi-monthly basis. You can also purchase samples before you book (and I will deduct from the final cost of your cake if you do go on to book). Samples are £20 + postage.

Step 4

We can then finalise your design and flavour choices, and I prepare everything in order for your cake to go into production. I will require a further payment of 50% of your balance 6 months before the wedding. Amendments to the design or flavours can be made up to 1 month before, additional charges may apply. Your final balance is due 1 month before the wedding.

Step 5

4 - 6 weeks before the wedding I will contact your venue and wedding florist to coordinate timings and delivery details for the day. I start making any sugar flowers in the weeks leading up to the wedding. On the week of the wedding your cake goes into production and all the baking and decorating is completed in time for your wedding day.

Step 6

On the day of the wedding, I will deliver and set-up the cake in your chosen location. Set-up times vary but can take up to 1 hour depending on the decorations. If using fresh flowers, I am happy to work with your wedding florist to decorate the cake or can prepare and attach loose flowers. I provide your venue with a allergen and cutting guide as well as flavour labels to be displayed with the cut cake. Your cake is then ready on display to wow your guests and be ready to enjoy later in the day.

Covid-19 Update

We are currently unable to provide in-person tasting and design consultations in our cake studio, but please order samples for you to enjoy at home along with a virtual design appointment.

Until we know when weddings will be able to fully go ahead again we will not be taking on any 2022 bookings, we do however have some availability remaining for 2021.
